Teeth Whitening
Over time tooth discoloration takes place from exposure to foods and liquids that contain dark pigments. Wine, soda, pigmented foods, coffee, tea and of course smoke byproducts are adsorbed into teeth and darken them. Recently the high acidic trends in our diet as well as medical conditions such a GERD can erode our enamel. As the enamel thins, the darker inner layer of dentin starts to show its true darker color. Whitening is a safe and effective method to brighten your smile.
Whitening can be done at home with either prescription white strips provided to you by our office, or custom fitted trays filled with a bleaching gel. In office, we offer BOOST, a safe and effective treatment which draws all the tough stains out of your teeth followed by prescription white strip application at home for several days.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers can be utilized to change the shape, color, or size of a single tooth or for an entire smile makeover. Veneers are thin sculpted pressed porcelain which fit over and around your teeth. They are adhered to your teeth utilizing a chemical bonding technique.
Veneers are beautiful and extremely life like conservative restorations. They tend to be more durable and longer lasting than bonding. The tooth preparation required for veneers is very conservative, producing a natural beautiful smile.
Conservative Bonding
Bonding is a general term used to describe the replacement of missing tooth structure with a tooth colored restoration. The term actually refers to an adhesive process which is used to secure a restoration with little or no tooth preparation to the tooth. As a result, we are able to repair chipped teeth, fill gaps, eliminate staining and restore teeth damaged by decay or trauma in one visit.
Utilizing a variety of composite shades, opaque’s, stains and tints we can sculpt beautiful life like restorations in one visit. The longevity of bonded restorations is not as great as porcelain veneers, yet their reduced cost justifies the difference.
